Mim Chenfeld Recalls Center's Early Years

If you want to hear a funny, thought-provoking, or warm-hearted story, talk to Mim
Chenfeld. She has countless stories to tell about the people she's met, worked with, and
loved over the years. And the lives she's touched numbers in the thousands - everyone
from this year's crop of preschoolers to those who have graduated from her classes to
become today's education, art, business and community leaders. So it is fitting that Mim
should be the focus of this month's article celebrating the JCC building's 25th anniversary.

Sports Spectacular 2008 to Celebrate Athletes on Sept. 9

Fall may not start until later on this month, but it's definitely the season for Sports Spectacular
at the JCC. On Aug. 25, the annual fundraiser kicked off with a day of Golf and Tennis at the New Albany
Country Club, and will conclude on Sept. 9 with an evening of recognition and celebration at the
JCC, when Heidi Levey, Jerry Schiff and Eric Golden are honored.

The JCC will be closing at 6 p.m. on Erev Rosh Hashanah (Monday, Sept. 29), and will remained
