- Camp Chaverim accommodates flexible
schedules.
Campers can choose to attend three or five
days of camp per week for two weeks, or
more! Campers with siblings at Camp Hoover
can be dropped off at 8am and stay until 4pm
to allow parents one convenient drop off and
pick up time.
- Daily camp activities may include:
Sports, Judaics, nature, swim lessons, free
swim, Israeli culture, art, bunk time and
music.
- Weekly special events!
Special events include dress up days, theme
days, Friday unit activities and Shabbat.
During these special events, campers
participate in a variety of activities from
Raining Bubble Gum Day to slip n’ sliding!
- Kindergartners can take advantage of
full-day camp with all the fun and special
events Chaverim has to offer, while smaller
ratios and age-appropriate group programming
target the individual needs of these young
campers.
- Late nights and overnights!
For our 1st-3rd graders, camp does not
always end at 3:30! First grade campers stay
at camp for two late nights during the
summer. Second and third grade campers
participate in two late nights, two
overnights, trips to Camp Hoover and four
fun fieldtrips throughout the summer.
- Each camper selects from a variety of
Chugim (specialties) to meet individual
interests. Chugim meet four days a week for
two-week sessions, and are led by Camp
Chaverim counselors. Activities include
broomball, drama, basketball, soccer, arts
and crafts, dance, tennis, camp newspaper,
juggling, soccer, battle ball, jewelry
making, cheerleading, nature and much more!
- Chaverim campers participate in TAG
initiatives created by the Mandel Center for
Jewish Education. The TAG program was
created to add Jewish richness, beauty,
quality and special meaning to our camps
through Jewish experience and education.
