Torat Emet is a caring congregation that encourages, supports and embraces its members in all their diversity. Our synagogue reflects a modern Orthodox philosophy of challenging and engaging contemporary society within the framework of Jewish law. We take pride in our innovative programming, which embodies the Jewish concept of joyful celebration. The warm atmosphere of Torat Emet is sustained through the involvement of its members. Each congregant is more than a face or a number or a seat at Torat Emet. He or she is a valued member of our synagogue family.
The leaders and members of Congregation Torat Emet believe that their religious and communal responsibilities extend beyond the walls of the synagogue. The congregation values and supports many regional, national and international organizations. We maintain a strong tie to the Land of Israel and maintain support for the State of Israel in prayer and deed.

Welcome to Congregation Beth Tikvah, Hebrew for House of Hope. Founded in 1961, we have grown from twenty families to nearly 520. Located in Worthington, Ohio, we are the only synagogue in the northwest Columbus-area and serve a wide geographic area. Our congregation is composed of a diverse population, including many interfaith couples, and those new to the Central Ohio area. Many of our members have settled here from other parts of the country, and they are comforted to find a congregation in which connections are easily made and a surrogate family soon takes root.
Beth Tikvah benefits from an egalitarian spirit, and enjoys a reputation as a vibrant congregation dedicated to the principles of modern Reform Judaism. Please travel our website to learn more about Beth Tikvah. Contact links are placed throughout the website and we hope that you will allow us to provide more information about Beth Tikvah.

We are a Modern Orthodox congregation with the first kosher Mechitza installed in a contemporary synagogue.
Our T'fillot (prayers) are conducted in Hebrew, in the Nusach S'fard, using the ArtScroll siddur (prayer book).
Natural stone walls, beautiful stained glass windows, carved wood doors and hammered brass
accents of the custom designed Ner Tamid (eternal light) and back-lit menorah fixtures are features of the sanctuary,
as are the comfortable seats and the imposing Aron Kodesh (Ark) with its stained glass surround. Standing open during services,
two huge doors on the Ark exterior, weighing 1500 pounds each, close to form the "Luchot" (tablets of the Ten Commandments).
The Bais Medrash (daily chapel) was the first in the United States to be dedicated to the memory of the six million
Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Its six-wall configuration is constructed of the same natural materials as the main sanctuary.
Our membership, of some 300-plus families, consists of many Shomer Shabbos and Shomer Mitzvos families as well as those who are less observant. All are welcome!
